Calie is a New York City-based reproductive health advocate. She is passionate about promoting reproductive wellness in communities of color. Calie’s advocacy has spanned from our nation’s capital to Harare, Zimbabwe and ranged from supporting victims of human trafficking to leading HIV prevention programs. As an HIV prevention specialist in Washington, DC, Calie was a leader in the campaign to educate women of color about HIV bio-medical prevention options such as pre-exposure prophylaxis. Calie is committed to being a part of the movement to ensure that every one has an opportunity to achieve reproductive wellness and every birthing person has a healthy pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experience.
