Nicauris is a Rutgers University graduate with a master’s degree in social work specializing in management and policy. She also completed her undergraduate studies in criminal justice at Centenary University. As a first-generation immigrant, Nicauris became interested in immigration issues while interning as an immigration legal advocate during her junior year. Her areas of interest include refugees, migration, and at-risk youth. Nicauris aims to connect GFG’s mission of birth justice with immigration by providing resources and information for pregnant folks. In her free time, Nicauris enjoys writing in her journal, composing poetry, playing volleyball, and socializing with friends.
